  Notes	Henry Petherick owned the famous coastal ship named "Ceres" of 35 tons, launched at Salcombe DEV in 1811. He purchased the vessel in 1837 and she remained in the ownership of the family for 84 years. In 1936 she went down off Baggy Point DEV after springing a leak in the Bristol Channel. So ended 125 years of wonderful service in which it is calculated the "Ceres" carried 250,000 tons of cargo.
