  Notes	Kardinia May BENNETT lived as a young girl at Kewell where she could recall seeing aboriginal corroberees and seeing their mia-mias on the property. Later when living in Terang, she became an assistant teacher at the Terang Grammar School and later the Principal. She married Ernest LETHBRIDGE, the Anglican parish priest at Terang in January 1915. They retired and lived at Murrumbeena from 1923. Her name "Kardinia" is an aboriginal word meaning " the rising sun."
