    Todd attended Beau Valley Public School, Central Park Senior Public School and O'Neill Collegiate and Vocational Institute in Oshawa, graduating in 1987. He then attended Waterloo University in a co-op programme, graduating in Mechanical Engineering May 30, 1992. In September, 1992, he entered Queen's University Law School. In May, 1994, he became a summer student at Bereskin Parr in Toronto and was accepted by them for his term of articles.

    Weighed 8 pounds at birth. The French people were curious to see the fair skinned, light haired baby in the hospital.

    Earl attended Queen Street Public School and Welland High School in Welland, McMaster University in Hamilton graduating in 1957 with an Honours Degree in Economics. He attended Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, graduating with an L.L.B. in the spring of 1960. He articled with McComb, Coulter and Sullivan in Welland, finishing articles with Bruce Mackey in Oshawa. He was called to the bar of Ontario April 12, 1962, (Gertrude Crosier's birthday!).

    After marriage, he began the practice of law in Oshawa with his brother-in-law Bruce Vipond Mackey, at 36 1/2 King Steet East. Later the office changed location to 17 Simcoe Street North, and still later to 22 King Street West.

    Earl and Jean (Samells) lived first in Toronto (Forest Hill) at 345 Lonsdale Rd., Apt. 305. In June, 1963, they moved to a brand new apartment building in Oshawa at 323 Gibb Street, Apt. 15. In April, 1965, they with son Craig moved to a new home at 1022 Oshawa Boulevard North, Oshawa.

    George's early home was located in Caesarea at L12 C8, now 3531 Durham Regional Road #57. On the last day of February, 1918, the family moved across the ice of Lake Scugog to Scugog Island to the present 2756 Demara Road location. In the spring of 1949, George built the house in Port Perry located at 79 Lilla Street, now 15187 Simcoe Street North.

    Rebekahs - Alpha was District Deputy President 1973-4 (Rebekah Assembly of Ontario) for District 8, Oshawa East, comprised of Oshawa Lodge #3 (Oshawa), Beehive Lodge # 125 (Bowmanville), Ganaraska # 131 (Port Hope), Heather # 334, (Orono), Maybelle # 348 (Port Perry).

    Retired:
    On June 30, 1971, Alpha retired from teaching.

    Her first school was S.S. # 11 Uxbridge in 1924-5 and 1925-6. Her second school was S.S.# 2 Scugog, (Centre School) 1926-7. She boarded at Stephenson's (now Maurice Fralick's) and married George Feb. 12, 1927. Immediately, nastly letters began appearing in the Port Perry Star about the immorality of married teachers teaching. Alpha resigned in June and did not teach again until Manchester School trustees in Feb. or Mar. 1950 begged her to come and finish the year since the school had about 50 students and several big boys in grade 8 had literally driven out several teachers that year. She went and stayed 8 years. Alpha always was amused by the fact that each of these schools was demolished the year she left. A new school was built in Pine Grove 1928, similiarly at Scugog. Manchester students were transported to Port Perry.
