Notes:

There is considerable doubt about the origins of Richard. Some say that he was born in Hartland DEV in Feb 1644/45 the son of Lawrence WALTER (c. 1606-?) and Susanne GUISTE (?-?). Others say his origins are in Wales which I think is very doubtful. If anyone can help in certifying his origins it would be a great relief to many interested family historians.
