My great-grandfather Ambrose Willcock WALTER (1833-1915) as a young man. A native of Bradworthy, North Devon, he was the man whose energy, foresight and drive led to the permanent establishment of his branch of the WALTER family in the state of Victoria firstly on the Barrabool Hills, near Geelong and later as a settler at Noradjuha in the Wimmera region.
