A recent change has been the addition of watermarks to most of the full-size images. I have no objection to providing photographs to those who ask, but systematic filching of images has become a problem which will not be tolerated. I am aware that this change reduces the impact for readers, but unfortunately it will remain in place for the foreseeable future.
